Welcome year 2022

This is my very first blog post here in my new journal. I have had a blog called gretchen gretchen since year 2012 but it was build on blogger platform. That platform is way too old fashioned in the year 2022. Originally I wanted to have a blog where I could play and have fun and share my creative projects freely and keep my English alive. I didn’t tell anyone about it before I thought I’m enough good in writing English. I’m not native speaking, my mother language is Finnish. I don’t think I write perfect English still, haha. It is a long story why blog was named gretchen gretchen, you can read the whole story here.

I have been thinking this journal for some time that I want to have a place here next to my shop where I can share my thoughts about art I create and life I live. A beginning of the year is a perfect time to begin.

This pic is taken in March in my BEE KIND exhibition in Maamusta, Helsinki. It was the time we had a huge challenge with Covid-19 and restrictions were hard. So I couldn’t have opening and of course less visitors. You can find all the works and introduction in my portfolio.

These flowers are mostly leftovers from my assignment for Artek Helsinki birthday flower arrangements.

This flower arrangement is one of the arrangements I made for Artek Helsinki 5 year birthday.

You are very welcome to follow my stories here in my journal. I didn’t give any promises for the new year but I have decided one thing concerning my art. This year I only do it for myself. What it means? I only listen my heart and create what ever I feel. It can be photos, painting, clay work or something different. It is time.
