Behind The Scenes Midsummer Flower Arrangements

These are true behind the scenes photos, they are unfinished.

All have a beginning and an ending.

Even though it might feel quite random, it is not. There is a difference between random and intuitive working.

Every one of my works are a result of choosing the flowers. Nowadays I am quite connected to seasonal approach. I also avoid floral foam because it is not wise to use. My flower photography is every time a unique piece of art. You never have exact same flower, they are always different - in good and bad.

My huge baroque rooted flower arrangement works can take many hours to create. But it might be that in the end, it is just not what I was looking for. What happens then? I break it down.

When you are working with organic and ever changing material, you have always a bit of competition with time. Especially now when we have had a heat in June. Now I can also make a confession that yes sometimes all go wrong and I just have to stop photographing no matter what. I feel sometimes very hard to listen my body. But yesterday evening I did, when I made a decision.

Forcing oneself is not the way to go if you know that you have a chance to continue next week ;) so welcome Midsummer, I’m yours!

Joyful Midsummer !

xoxo
